Carson's Food And Drink: A Trendy Steakhouse Experience in Lexington

I cannot write enough good praise for this quality restaurant. The menu was extensive, our server Kyle was attentive but not intrusive. He knows his menu, has great suggestions and was the best server I have had in years. The food was over the top, the portions were large, and the menu had everything from comfort food to 5 star innovative offerings. I had the seafood pasta which was divine, my husband had a bacon burger. We added the bearnaise French fries, and the tangy lemon on it made my day. Absolutely recommend. No dress code!

While visiting Lexington for the UK game, we were told we had to eat at Carson’s. Only day that worked was Sunday for brunch, and it couldn’t have been better! Service was perfect-friendly & welcoming, good recommendations & suggestions…but not over the top. Food was spectacular, and the was a lot! Wife had the fried chicken breakfast & I tried the Hot Brown Benedict … but first, we had a starter of Deep-fried Cinnamon & Sugar Biscuits (the menu says “Order these first!”). Everything was amazing. You should definitely check it out!

Fantastic brunch and the service was a 10/10! We got the deep fried cinnamon biscuits, the bread pudding French toast, and the chicken & waffle with gravy. Everything was really well prepared and tasted great, and our server Tylyn was so wonderful. Will definitely be back to try dinner service!

Carson’s in Lexington is always a solid choice for a great night out. The atmosphere is upscale yet comfortable, making it perfect for both date nights and special occasions. The steaks are cooked perfectly, and the seafood options are just as impressive. Their sides and cocktails really round out the experience. Service is attentive and professional, and the staff makes you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. Definitely one of Lexington’s standout dining spots that’s worth returning to.

We went for our anniversary. This was my first time there, but my husband had gone for lunch a few times. Highly recommend reservations as they are always busy. The food was good but my favorite part was the music. I’m a huge 40s music fan. Just before we left I was thinking only artist I haven’t heard is Bing Crosby and much to my delight he came on just as we were preparing to leave. Disappointment was the Glenn Miller section of music it was all short versions of his songs. Or really they were cut off after a minute and a half and moved to the next one. Otherwise great place to enjoy a meal.

Passing through Kentucky and found Carson’s during our search. Wow, definitely worth a stop. We started with BBQ ribs, then a nice chopped salad, seafood soup bisque. I had the chicken and shrimp creole smothered on top of a pile of grits. Hannah was our server and she was super friendly and helpful. To finish off the meal we decided on the banana bourbon bread pudding. Overall- Excellent! It would be a definite return for me on my next trip through this area again.

Every time I visit Kentucky I eat here. And every time I leave I’m sad that we don’t have this restaurant in my state. This food is seriously so delicious every time my family eats here we talk about it for DAYS. We are still talking about it and it’s been over a week. We eat the leftovers cold the next morning and they’re still ridiculously good. The espresso martinis are out of this world. Never take the bourbon bread pudding off the menu please, it was insane. The steaks are perfect. The burgers are delicious. Service is always top notch. Prices are incredibly reasonable. Literally everything is 10/10.

Not as fancy as I was led to believe. The food was good in my opinion but not anything extra special. The service was absolutely perfect, we didn’t even have to ask for stuff. She just knew what was needed. My husband didn’t like the food but he’s not big on fancy stuff. Not worth the prices in my opinion.
